About
Project IRIS is an amateur short film.
Why did we choose to make it? Well… We want to show off what we’ve got. We are seniors in high school utilizing high school aged kids with the ability to create a professional quality film. We believe that their talent and drive mixed with our vision and attention to detail will help us to create something truly impressive.
The story for Project IRIS was originally conceived by Nick Tsutsunava. He and Alessandro Chillé worked together in order to develop the final script. After the completion of the script, pre-production of this film began in early January. Film-prep began with the building of a camera stabilizer designed by Nick specifically for this project. Trips to Home Depot were common place. So were the frozen pizza’s. But, we’re getting off-topic.
We are trying to push the definition of amateur high school film production by making a movie that doesn’t reek of shakey-cam and poor edits. The challenge we have overcome is doing that with no budget. Using cheap and borrowed equipment we hunkered down and put our all into the production of this film. We hope you will enjoy what we create.
Sincerely,
Nick Tsutsunava and Alessandro Chillé
“This is war; the longest and most enduring of human practices. It is the year 2020 and the human race stands on the brink of nuclear catastrophe. The UNEC and the CFM have been struggling for many years to reach an agreement in creating a world government. They have not succeeded. In order to protect themselves, the UNEC initialized a secret project called IRIS: the International Regulators of Internal Safety. A program to keep the world at peace.”
- College is right around the corner for both Nick and I. Time to start balancing a bunch of things and still finish this film!
- So, we have this pretty sweet #animated 3d title sequence for our movie. Time to render on Mac is 100 hours... PC 50... WTF? Damnit, #C4d..
- @rondevine408 That said, we do want to get this movie turned around ASAP! Stay tuned, it should hit sooner than you'd think...
- @rondevine408 The greatest thing about not having producers is the level of freedom we have to do whatever we want, whenever. No rush :)
